IntraOral Massage

IntraOral Massage is a treatment that that is performed by working not only the muscles on the outside of the jaw/neck, but also by working on the muscles on the "inside" of the mouth. By doing this type of treatment, you can experience pain relief from TMJD, after long treatments at the dentist, migraines, grinding of teeth, whiplash, to trouble swallowing and more.

I have received my endorsement to practice Intraoral Massage from the State of Washington.

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Orthopedic Massage, also known as "Medical Massage" is a highly effective method for reducing the level of stress imposed on the body by chronically shortened muscles.  This is accomplished by applying a combination of techniques (such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish cross fiber friction, stretching, Deep Tissue, etc.) that are slow and allow the body time to respond.

Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to help keep you hydrated and muscles moving freely.

Toss The Clock!

Time has no meaning in this session. Are you tired of running the "race"? Mon-Fri where you have to be here, got to be there....pick up this drop off that?

30min/60min/90min.....no....STOP!

This session is designed to focus on YOU! We will work together to find out what areas need work....and collaborate to bring healing and homeostasis back to YOU!

This wont be a "spa" fluff and buff....but purely a session that aims to help muscle relaxation, reduce anxiety and/or pain, increase range of motion in your joints, and over all well-being.

Sure, there will be a "start" time....but no specific "end" time. Plan on aprox. 2hrs. Really though, it will be what ever it takes to bring you back!

If this sounds like the right treatment plan for you....book this session and your therapist will contact you to schedule.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

This form of treatment is gernerally incorperated into the Orthopedic Massage sessions.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

This form of treatment is gernerally incorperated into the Orthopedic Massage sessions.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

Kinesio Taping

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion as well as providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.

For more information on this form of therapy, please visit www.kinesiotaping.com for more information.

The length of each session depends on multiple factors. Evaluation and assessment will be done by the Therapist to determine the type of taping that is necessary. If you have been diagnosed by a Licensed Medical Professional with a specific type of injury, you may need to bring documentation of said injury at time of service. Please contact us before scheduling this form of therapy.

Chair Massage

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Geriatric Massage

Geriatric massage is a form of massage designed to meet the specific needs of the elderly. It helps to improve blood circulation, relieve pain, and also increase range of motion. If you are elderly, geriatric massage can help you maintain and improve your overall health, as well as regain certain physical functions that have been reduced due to aging. In addition, since the elderly don't typically receive enough physical touch, this massage can also help alleviate symptoms of loneliness or depression.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.
